For a while there, I wasn’t sure if I would Mangastream ever write another blog post.It’s been a rough couple years for me as far as work, personal life, and the world in general.But oh boy has it gotten worse! Since my last update, I have been laid off from my job and have lost everything. It has all fucking point back to this one day that changed my life.I was sitting at home playing Xbox… With no job. No friends. No family. Just me and my Xbox (and some PDA) I was just ready for some “real” adventure~ Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened when i played Mangastream for the first time! Sitting at home can sometimes be lonely but not anymore! My friends were all over Skype so we could play together like a team on multiple games and not worry about who would play which game or how much time we had left! That was when Mangastream really started to take off for me.Even now a few months later, I still log on almost everyday to play some more games with my friends (and hopefully get laid off again).
The birth of Mangastream
After a few months of slowly gaining popularity, Mangastream came to a big end when Activision shut the doors on the original. Despite the fact that it would have been the most successful game ever created, the only people who got their hands on it were the developers who had left the company. It was a sad day for all the fans of games. Every single one of us, including my friends, lost a great game. All this game had going for it was a portal to another world where people can do anything they want. With the return of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the torch was passed to The Order: 1886. But wait! There’s more! Mangastream may have been the first game ever to use the open-source engine Source that also made Wayward Son and Before Dawn, but the hype was too much and the game was quickly canned.
Why I love Mangastream
For all these reasons, and more, Mangastream is a game that should be playlisted on YouTube and on a real estate market. It’s the perfect game for any self-respecting gamer and it has everything you need to get started building a business around it. Now it’s just a matter of paying the rent and running the show. Like everything else, it all started with the birth of Mangastream. Back in 2011, I was in high school and had just started working as a software engineer. One day, I was playing a popular online game and the graphics were so beautiful I just had to check it out. I started playing a few games every so often and always got lemons for my efforts. One day, I was sitting at home playing my friend’s Xbox and realized that I really, really want to play this game. This was a turning point in my life and lead to the moment where I became a full-time game developer.
