SSC JE is the short form of Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer. This national-level exam is held by the Staff Selection Commission. The SSC JE examination occurs once a year.
The candidates should be a citizen of India or subjects of Bhutan, Nepal, and Tibet. The age limit for the candidates applying for SSC JE is between 18 to 32 years. It is mandatory for the candidates to hold an Engineering degree in the fields of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
RRB JE
The full form of RRB JE is Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineering. This Central Government examination is fit for candidates from engineering and science backgrounds. The age limit for the candidates applying for the RRB JE examination is 18 to 32 years. The exam pattern of RRB JE is discussed below. RRB JE Exam Pattern
This exam is conducted in two phases. The phase one exam is held in online mode and the time limit for this exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. In order to sit for CBT 2 (phase 2), candidates must qualify for the first phase.
The CBT 1 paper consists of subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. There will be 100 questions of 100 marks based on the topics mentioned above.
The CBT 2 paper indulges topics like Chemistry, Basics of Environmental & Pollution Control, Physics, Technical ability, Basics of Computer & Application, and General Knowledge. This paper contains 150 questions with a time limit of 120 minutes. The full marks of CBT 2 are 150 marks.
Exam Pattern of SSC JE Examination
The SSC JE examination comprises Paper 1 which consists of multiple choice questions and Paper 2 which is based on descriptive questions. The time limit for a single paper is 2 hours.
Paper 1 is a computer-based exam and includes subjects like General Awareness, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, Part A General Engineering (Civil and Structural) or Part B General Engineering (Electrical) or Part C General Engineering (Mechanical).
