Listen up, mere mortals! Old School RuneScape Fire Cape, one of the ultimate defense capes for melee, is a veritable fortress on your back, second in power only to Infernal Cape. Having an impressive defense boost of +11 against all manner of attacks, it is a non-negotiable requires daring hunting venture. This coveted piece of armor boasts a value of approximately 65,000 OSRS GP, but its true worth lies in its protection of your precious items while you’re out braving the wilds.
But heed my words, for the path to obtain this majestic cape is not for the faint of heart. There exists only a direct way to claim it, and it’s by battling your way through the treacherous TzHaar Fight Cave and emerging victorious over the fierce TzTok-Jad. Only the bravest and most skilled warriors need apply.
What are the Preparations to Obtain OSRS Fire Cape
Well, well, well, listen up all you are aspiring mini-game conquerors out there! Now, I’m not saying this is the ONLY way to do it, but let’s be real, the cheapest option to breeze through this challenging mini-game by utilizing Ranged. You could opt for a more versatile approach and incorporate Melee or Magic, but let’s face it, that requires some serious multitasking skills. If you’re not up for the challenge, then taking aim at Ranged is your best bet, my dear.
The beauty of this approach is that you can dish out some serious damage without the hassle of switching weapons, chugging potions, or swapping between combat styles. The cherry on top? Ranged demands the bottom level guidelines to do the job right, boasting only 75+ Ranged, 60+ Prayer, 75+ HP, and 70+ Defense. And for all you Pure players out there, you can still do it with 80+ Ranged, 43+ Prayer, 80+ HP, and Defense less than 20. Now that’s what I call efficiency.
Ahem, attention all you daring mini-game adventurers! If you want to emerge victorious in this trial, you better be packing some serious heat, and that means wielding the almighty Toxic Blowpipe. It’s the finest weapon you may get your hands on, so make sure it’s part of your arsenal. And for ammo, stick to Mithril darts or higher. Trust me, it’s worth splurging on the good stuff.
Now, if you happen to own (or able to get your greedy little hands on) Twisted Bow, then you can unleash its power during the second half the trial, which is where it reigns supreme. But if you’re not one of the few elites who can afford such luxuries, don’t fret. There are still some other weapons you can use, such as Rune Crossbow, Karil’s Crossbow, Armadyl Crossbow, and Crystal Bow.
But let’s be real here. The second two are reserved for the high rollers, the wealthy players who don’t mind shelling out some serious dough for the best gear. And if you want to go for Crystal Bow, there’s a bonus if you pair it with Crystal Armor. However, be warned. You’ll need to bring multiples of this, while it changes back to Crystal Weapons Seed after the 2,500 shots. So, choose wisely, my friends, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
First and foremost, you must prioritize your Defense stat like your life depends on it because, let’s face it, you’ll blow often than a bullseye at an archery range. To boost your every Defense, you’ll want to don the following gear: Necklace of Anguish, Slayer Helm, Ava’s Armadyl Chestplate, Assembler, Armadyl Chainskirt, Pegasian Boots, Twisted Buckler, Twisted Bow/Toxic Blowpipe, Barrows Gloves, and Archer’s Ring. But let’s be real here, that’s going to cost you an arm and a leg, so feel free to swap out some of these items for cheaper alternatives if necessary.
Now, onto the juicy stuff. You can’t go into battle without a good supply of potions, my friends. Make sure to pack some Saradomin Brews, Bastion Potions, Restores, and Prayer Potions, (at a 1:3 scale to brews). Trust me, you’ll thank me later when you’re still standing after a barrage of attacks. So, suit up, bring your potions, and get ready to conquer this mini-game like a boss!
The Battle
If you’re looking to take on TzHaar Fight Cave, you’ll need to know where to go. Head over toward Mor Ul Rek, nestled beneath the Karamja volcano, to enter the surface of this city and start battling.
Now, let’s talk strategy. You’ll face a whopping 63 influx of powerful enemies, ranging from measly level 22s to the big bad TzTok-Jad himself at level 702. You’ll find five kinds of opponents to watch out for, each with own fighting style that you’ll need to match with Protection Prayers.
But fear not, my fearless friend. I’ve got the inside scoop on how to handle each type of enemy. For Tz-Kek and Tz-Kih, don’t fiddle around your points and exercise the tactics of cutthroat to dodge the former’s drain ability. Yt-Mejkot, apply the cutthroat strategy if you’re not utilizing the safe place method (otherwise, go for Melee), while Tok-Xil requires Ranged protection. And finally, for Magic, and Ket-Zek protection is the way to go.
And speaking of safe spots, you’ll want to position yourself on the eastern side of the area, specifically on the ‘Italy Rock’ where enemies can get stuck, while you should snipe on enemies without taking any damage. Easy peasy, right?
And if you’re worried about gear, don’t fret. I’ve got you covered with a list of the ideal equipment to bring, including the Slayer Helm, Necklace of Anguish, Ava’s Assembler, Armadyl Chestplate and Chainskirt, Toxic Blowpipe or Twisted Bow, Twisted Buckler, Barrows Gloves, Pegasian Boots, and Archer’s Ring. But hey, if you’re short on cash, you can always opt for cheaper alternatives.
Now get out there and show those TzHaar who’s boss. And don’t forget to bring along some Saradomin Brews, Bastion Potions, Restores, and Prayer Potions, (1:3 proportion to brews) to keep yourself in tip-top shape.
If you want to conquer TzHaar Fight Cave, you’ll need to follow some expert advice. You’ll find here the guides and activities that you must take to emerge victorious:
- First of all, at wave 6, you better be using your Protection from the Ranged prayer, because those pesky Tok-Xils will begin to manifest. And don’t you dare forget it!
- By wave 15, it’s time to bust out the big guns and use Italy Rock ‘till it secure the place of those Yt-Mejkots. You can also deactivate your prayer, while Tok-Xil won’t make an appearance ‘til wave 22.
- Once you hit wave 22, it’s time to turn your Ranged protection back on and continue to safely snipe away at the opposition.
- Upon wave 31, it’s time to switch things up and activate your Protection from the Magic prayer ‘til on the wave 38. You don’t want to leave yourself vulnerable to those Ket-Zeks, do you?
- By wave 38th, activate the Magic protection and take out first the Tok-Xil before continuing to safe spot the rest of the enemies.
- Once you hit wave 46, you can breathe a little easier because Tok-Xil should discontinue spawning towards the following some waves. But don’t get too comfortable – keep up your shelter tactics!
- On the 53 waves, the going gets tough. Yt-Mejkot, Ket-Zek and Tok-Xil will all spawn all together in every wave. Keep that Magic protection up, focus first the Tok-Xil, and safeguard the rest.
- By wave 61, you’re in the home stretch, baby! Equate with the present tactics, and make sure to log out if you need a breather. The wave can be the perfect location to ‘save’ by exiting. Trying to log out on the following wave will not give you time to anticipate, and TzTok-Jad can stike you roughly quickly.
- On the 62 waves, keep your eyes peeled for two Ket-Zeks that will respawn. Pay attention the location of the one orange reappeared, because that’s when TzTok Jad will barge in on the following wave.
And don’t forget – signing off will only interrupt your development. So make sure you’ve got all your supplies before starting, or you’ll be in for a world of hurt!
Tztok-Jad Battle
Prepare yourself for the ultimate showdown with the big boss of the mini-game, TzTok-Jad! Even though he’s the toughest enemy you’ll face, the tactics you need to defeat him are easy peasy. Just stay clear of the melee range and watch out the footwork. When he stomps quickly, he’ll blast you with the attack by using Ranged. Assuming he smashes slowly, that means he’s hitting you with the attack Magic. So, pair your Prayer Protection with his moves, and you’ll be golden.
When you knock off half his health, TzTok-Jad can summon his posse of healers. But don’t panic! Use every weapons of yours to lure them away from him and prevent them from restoring his health. Those healers pack a punch, but you probably can still safespot them. Just keep your peepers on Jad while you take them down.
Once you emerge victorious, the coveted OSRS Fire Cape is going to be yours for the taking. But beware, if you bite the dust along with Jad, you can kiss that cape goodbye. So, keep your wits about you and keep an eye on that health bar during the whole shebang.
